The Leap Motion Controller senses how you naturally move your hands and lets you use your computer in a whole new way. It’s just over three inches long, an inch wide and less than a half-inch thick, with a glossy black panel on top, behind which resides the infrared sensors. The edge, meanwhile, is ringed with a seamless aluminum band, save for a USB 3.0 Micro-B port on the left side. It works with your keyboard and mouse without special adapters. With the Leap Motion software running, just plug it into the USB on your Mac or PC, and you are off. It takes up hardly any room on your desk, but has a wide 150° field of view, and transforms the space above into a 3D interface for your hands. It can track your movements at a rate of over 200 frames per second.
