Having entered the electric bike scene in 2013 with the E-Tracker model, California-based Vintage Electric follows up with a second custom cycle. Dubbed the “CRUZ”, the limited edition model boasts a comfortable top speed of 36mph when shifted into “race-mode”. The bike also features a regenerative braking system and Shimano “Alfine” hydraulic disk brakes, which provide riders optimal precision and control on the road.

The new CRUZ e-bike is mighty quick, offering 20 mph speeds in street mode and a brisk 36 mph in race mode. Power comes courtesy of a 3,000 watt three-phase brushless electric motor and a 52-volt battery, allotting 30 miles of riding range and full recharging in under two hours. Only 50 models were made, and they’re all being sold on a first-come, first-served basis. The “Cruz” is available in three custom colors: “Fiesta,” “Aqua” and “Cola.”

Its signature feature is undoubtedly its looks. There are dozens of other electric bicycles on the market, but none that look quite as good as the CRUZ. The electric beach cruiser wears a Brooks England leather saddle and grips, alder wood inlays, and packs its technical bits in an elegant sand-cast aluminum box, all wrapped up around classic beach cruiser styling.

The Cruz bicycle is priced at $4,995 and is available from Vintage Electric.
